Scientists Have Named a Dried Fruit That Will Help You Lose Weight

Prunes are useful for atherosclerosis, and hypertension, due to the high content of potassium salts. Scientists from the University of Liverpool conducted a study that showed that many people often gain weight in winter. But experts say that prunes can help prevent this.

Prunes help to better control food intake and reduce appetite. Scientists conducted a 12-week test involving 2 control groups. Some ate prunes and followed their usual diet, while others did not eat dried plums but ate as usual.

The results of the study showed that prunes influenced the appetite of the testers, namely, they made people want to eat less.

According to Jason Halford, president of the European Association for the Study of Obesity, the experience has shown that dried fruit can both cause satiety and be included in the diet during weight control.

In addition, the experts studied the amount of weight lost by each tester over 12 weeks. In particular, those who ate prunes lost slightly more weight than those who did not.

As Halford added, this is the first data to show such effectiveness and the absence of side effects in humans.

Prunes are useful for atherosclerosis, and hypertension, due to their high content of potassium salts. It has a diuretic effect, helps to cope even with severe edema, improves kidney function, and helps to remove toxins from the body.
