Shashik Sauce

The perfect shashik sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Onion, great
  • 1 Can Canned tomatoes, great
  • 300 ml Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Curry
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (smoked)
  • 1 tbsp Oregano
  • Tabasco, possibly
  • Worcester sauce, possibly
  • 200 ml Coke
  • Oil
  • 3 Garlic marriage
  1. Dice the onion and garlic and fry in a little oil. Add tomatoes with juice, ketchup, sugar, curry, paprika, Coca-Cola and oregano. Season to taste with salt and simmer for about 30 minutes over low heat. Season the sauce with Tabasco (if desired) and Worcester sauce.
  2. Serve with french fries or rice.
  3. The sauce is enough for up to 6 skewers, otherwise increase the amount of sauce ingredients accordingly.
