Ingredients

  • 4 piece Kassel chops / steaks
  • 2 piece Onion
  • 1 Can Half apricots
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • 0,5 bottle Chili sauce
  • 0,5 teaspoon Broth
  • 0,5 teaspoon Oil
  • 0,5 teaspoon Sugar

Instructions

  • Pour the apricots into a colander and collect the juice. Peel the onion and cut into fine cubes.
  • Season the smoked pork chops with the pepper from the mill and fry them in a little oil in a pan, then remove them again. Now sauté the onion cubes in the frying fat until golden, add the apricots and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Deglaze with the apricot juice, chilli sauce and a squeeze of lemon juice. (I don't take all of the juice, but only half, if you want more sauce you can add more juice at any time). Now stir in the broth. Season to taste with a little sugar and pepper. Reheat the chops in the sauce.
  • Boiled potatoes, mashed potatoes or rice go very well with this. The sauce should taste sweet and sour and hot.
