Spelled whole grain toast bread

  • 50 ml Lukewarm water
  • 10 g Fresh yeast
  • 1 tbsp Wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 tbsp Raw cane sugar
  • 500 g Wholemeal spelt flour
  • 10 g Salt
  • 280 ml Milk lukewarm
  • 50 g Butter
  • 20 g Liquid butter for brushing


  • Take a mixing bowl / food processor and add all the ingredients one at a time. Now let it knead for about 5 minutes and then place on a floured work surface. Knead again with clean hands and put back in the bowl. Cover and let RISE in a warm place for one (1) hour.
  • After GOING, place the bread dough on the floured work surface again. First press it flat and then shape it into a roll and cover it in a greased toast pan or loaf pan with a cloth. Put again in a warm place and let REST for about 45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees top / bottom heat. After GOING, put the toast pan with the lid closed in the preheated oven. Remove the cloth from the box shape and put it in as well. Now bake for about 40 minutes.
