Recipe for a sponge cake with yogurt

For the sponge cake you need: 150ml neutral oil, 150g low-fat yogurt, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, 300g sugar, the juice and zest of one lemon, 3 eggs, 350g flour, 1 sachet of baking powder, and some icing sugar.

  1. Beat together the oil, yogurt, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, sugar, and eggs until fluffy.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder.
  3. Sift the mixture into the batter and stir in.
  4. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the batter.
  5. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 55 minutes and then leave it in the oven for another 15 minutes with the residual heat.
  6. For the frosting, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice, pour it onto the cake, and let it dry.
