The Desire for a Boiled Drink: is it Possible to Drink Tea With an Old Brew

Can I drink tea the next day?

If the drink is left outdoors for several hours, it will immediately be affected by the oxygen in the air. And, naturally, bacteria and harmful compounds begin to form in it.

A very dense dark film immediately forms on the surface of the tea. If you still try to drink cold tea, the above bacteria will hit the organs of the gastrointestinal tract, especially the liver.

Those who do not like to drink hot tea can be advised to drink it warm – 10-15 minutes after brewing.

By the way, we will immediately answer the question “Can I drink yesterday’s karkade” in the affirmative. Herbal teas can also be drunk cold. But long-cold black tea will only do the body harm.

If several hours or even days have passed since brewing, such a drink becomes very toxic to the human body.

How long can you drink brewed tea?

This period is quite short. And it is influenced by many factors – first of all, its variety and cooking conditions:

  • Black tea. Brewed tea should be drunk for a maximum of half an hour. If there is any brew left after drinking, it is better to put it in the refrigerator. This will help keep the tea fresh for half a day. If the brew will last longer, it is better not to risk it and just throw it away.
  • Green tea. These types of tea can be brewed several times, but tea that has been standing in room conditions is not suitable for re-brewing. As with its black counterpart, green tea can be kept in the refrigerator for no more than 12-13 hours.
  • Tea with lemon. Experts say that such a drink with lemon is stored for no more than half an hour. After this period, the product should be poured into the sink or toilet, and not sent for storage in the refrigerator.

Can I drink cooled green tea?

A few words should be said about this method. Experts say that tea leaves that are subjected to minimal processing must be stored in a special way. Dry brew retains its beneficial and flavorful properties when chilled, so tea briquettes are stored in the freezer at a temperature of minus 18 degrees Celsius.

For consumption, the recommendations are about the same as for black varieties – the sooner you drink it, the more benefits you get. So, brewed green tea can be stored for a maximum of 15-20 minutes. It is best to do what the Chinese, the ancestors of tea, do. That is, brew tea in small portions of 20-50 milliliters per person, but pour water over the same brew three to five times.
