Vegan meat products contain much/much more artificial ingredients than natural ones, says renowned nutritionist Rimma Moisenko.

Many people perceive plant-based meat as a healthy product. However, this is far from the case, says Rimma Moisenko, Ph.D. and renowned nutritionist.

Vegan meat products contain many more artificial ingredients than natural ones. According to her, the abundance of “chemical” additives largely devalues the health benefits of plant-based meat.

“Many people believe that it is a healthy product because it is not of animal origin. But it contains flavor enhancers, a fairly large amount of starch, gluten, and a lot of dyes that are not good for humans,” says Moisenko.

Some substances contained in vegan meat products can lead to allergic reactions or intoxication, the nutritionist says.

“At a minimum, these are allergens, at a maximum, toxic substance, including those containing heavy metals. As a result, a person who strives for proper, natural nutrition receives a kind of bomb in the food. This will definitely not add to health,” Moisenko summarized.
