The Endocrinologist Told What Will Happen to the Body if You Give up Sugar for a Month

Giving up sweets will affect all body systems. Many people dream of discouraging their love of sweets, as they believe that it is harmful to the body. Sugar spoils your figure and teeth, and can cause diabetes, experts say.

But endocrinologist Tatyana Bocharova found out what happens to the body if you minimize the consumption of sweet foods. The expert advises carefully studying labels and not eating too sweet foods, namely those with 22.5 grams of sugar per 100 grams.

Bocharova also claims that sugar can be called differently on labels. Examples: hydrolyzed starch, molasses, fructose, maltose, powdered sugar, and so on.

“After a month, giving up sweets will affect all body systems, from the gastrointestinal tract to hormones. Your metabolism will be better; insomnia will disappear; you will lose up to four kilograms of weight – in general, the quality of life will improve,” the expert said and added that, in addition to all of the above, the condition of the skin will also change. And all because sugar is the cause of collagen destruction, a protein that makes the skin more elastic and prevents premature wrinkles.
