What Happens if You Eat Pizza Every Day – The Doctor’s Answer

Pizza is a neutral dish. It can be both healthy and unhealthy. It all depends on what ingredients are used to make the pizza. Pizza is one of the most popular dishes in the world. Its benefits or harm to the body depend on whether it is the basis of your diet or an addition to your meals, whether you buy pizza or cook it yourself, and what ingredients it contains.

“Pizza is a neutral dish, just a ‘constructor’ that can be assembled at your discretion,” explained weight loss specialist Pavel Isanbayev.

Pizza is harmful

The expert noted that the high-calorie content of the dish is potentially dangerous because purchased pizza often contains fatty sauces, mayonnaise, sausage, and several types of cheese. But if you cook pizza at home, you can replace the sausage with meat or give up the sauce.

You can also make a low-carb pizza with reduced calories: it is based on minced meat, not dough and flour.

Another option is to use rye, whole wheat, or rice flour when making pizza. “Baking flour is a simple carbohydrate. The product raises blood sugar levels and promotes the rapid onset of hunger, and in the long run, it can lead to weight gain,” the doctor noted.

According to him, rice flour is recommended for gluten intolerance, a diagnosis when the use of “regular” flour causes bloating or other disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.

Can you eat pizza every day?

Isanbayev added that pizza made from “healthy” ingredients can be eaten every day. Pizza containing fatty foods can also be eaten often, but portions should be small.

Can I drink soda with pizza?

The doctor does not advise washing down purchased pizza with soda, as the combination of sweet and fatty foods in one meal leads to glucose fluctuations, stresses the pancreas, and increases the risk of gaining unnecessary pounds.

“People with gastrointestinal diseases may experience exacerbations of gastritis and bloating. For teenagers, fatty foods together with sweets cause skin problems, provoke frequent mood swings and irritability – they are advised to eat only pizza made from ‘healthy’ products,” Isanbayev said.
