Fruits contain a lot of carbohydrates and sugar, says nutritionist and nutritionist Elena Kalen. And therefore, in principle, they are extremely useful in the process of losing weight. Fruits cannot be a universal remedy for weight loss. And, moreover, they need to be eaten at a certain time of day. Nutritionist and nutritionist (specialist in healthy eating) Elena Kalen told about this on her Instagram page.

She noted that fruits contain a lot of carbohydrates and sugar. “They are found in cereals, greens, vegetables, fruits, honey, milk, and everything made from them,” the expert said. Kalen explained that carbohydrates directly affect blood sugar.

“Part of the sugar is used for vital processes, and the excess is stored in fat depots. And we get weight gain,” she said. Kalen also recalled that each product has its own glycemic index, which is a must for people losing weight.

“Carbohydrates with a low glycemic index can be eaten at any time of the day. These are dairy products, vegetables, greens, cereals, dried fruits, and berries. They help digestion and are good for health and fitness,” the doctor said.
