“Cheese is a very nutritious product and consists of one-quarter of proteins. We need them because they are a building block for muscles. Therefore, cottage cheese is often consumed by athletes during the recovery period. The advantage of cottage cheese is that its proteins are better absorbed than dairy proteins. Since cottage cheese is a very high-calorie product, it is an excellent energy replenisher, so it is often used as a healthy snack,” the expert said.

Ivankova noted that the calorie content of cheese is a contraindication for people with overweight and cardiovascular diseases.

“When choosing cheese, pay attention to the composition, it should not contain a lot of vegetable fats. The process of making this product is quite long and costly, so the cheese cannot be cheap,” she summarized.
