In order to reduce the negative impact on blood vessels and, as a result, on brain activity, the expert recommended that a whole grain product be consumed in a categorical tone – preferably with vegetables.
“If you want bread with something, for example, cheese, then there should be a piece of pepper, lettuce, cucumber – anything. But fiber must be present,” Solomatina emphasized.
The nutritionist once again reminded us that fast food, cookies, and crackers contain trans fats (fats enriched with hydrogen) and destroy blood vessels.
“Preservatives, dyes, alcohol, fats – all of these are also destructive. The liver tries to remove them, then stops coping with them and eventually gets damaged, unable to produce normal cholesterol. That is, it begins to produce low-density cholesterol, which forms atherosclerotic plaques,” explained Solomatina.
