New Year's Roses in Different Ways!

Total Time1 hour 30 minutes
Servings: 3 people

Ingredients

For painting :

  • 1 Teaspoon (level) Baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon (level) Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 0,5 Teaspoon (level) Coarse salt
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 2 tablespoon Water
  • 2 tablespoon Brandy
  • 50 g Ice cold butter
  • 2 tablespoon Condensed milk 7.5% fat

to bake:

  • 2 pole Hardened coconut oil

for dusting:

  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar

Instructions

Making dough:

  • Mix the flour and baking powder on a countertop and sieve.
  • Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg, and work a little together, the best way to do this is with a spatula. Work in brandy and water.
  • Add butter in flakes and work in, shape everything into a roll.
  • Dust the work surface with a little flour, roll out the dough thinly.

Version 1:

  • Cut out round cookies with a glass or mug, cut these crosswise not all the way to the middle with a kitchen wheel. Now coat the first cookie with condensed milk and twist the wings a little.
  • 2 Cookies now twist the wings (roll up) and place them on the 1st cookie, make sure that the wings are slightly offset and press them a little tighter in the middle.

Version 2: roses or magerites

  • We thread out narrow strips and bevel them at the beginning and at the end. We turn it on from one side, now you need a little feeling for the dough. I always shape them with a slight excess and pull the dough out slightly. You have to wrap roses tightly, it may not be possible for everyone at the beginning, it is an advantage if you have already sewn them from fabric. With roses you have to try that the middle comes up, exactly the opposite as with the daisy. In the case of daisies, the edges are pressed outwards after twisting them together.
  • I now like to put my roses in the fridge. approx. 30 min. Has the advantage that the roses do not lose their shape so quickly.

Heat the deep fryer.

  • Put the fat in the deep fryer and heat it to 180 ° C. Now place a few roses at a time and fry them (don't forget to turn them).

Kitchen paper:

  • After baking on kitchen paper, soak up the fat a little. Anesthetize with icing sugar while it is still hot, let cool down a little and then enjoy.
  • Potato soup goes wonderfully with it!
