Leg of Lamb and Green Beans

Total Time1 hour
Servings: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Leg of lamb on the bone
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 200 g Green beans
  • 1 Savory stem
  • 60 g Ham cubes
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 0,25 L Water
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

Lamb shank

  • Cut the leg of lamb into slices, clean, season with salt and pepper, fry in oil on both sides and add the garlic and onions. Pour in the vegetable stock and simmer for about 20 minutes. Remove the meat and keep it warm. Strain the sauce with the onions and garlic through a sieve. Taste!

green beans

  • Boil green beans in salted water with savory. Drain the water and toss in butter. Then pour the fried ham cubes with the onion on top. I don't like thick beans. Otherwise thicken with flour butter or similar.

Dumplings (bohemian)

  • Sieve flour and mix with baking powder. Then knead into a firm dough with the egg and water. If the water is not enough, something can be added, but not too much. Form a roll and place it in boiling salted water. Push off immediately so she can swim. Do not use a lid! Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
  • Two slices for each person is usually sufficient.
