Christmas: Coconut Thalers

Servings: 1 people

Ingredients

  • 125 g Flour
  • 60 g Food starch
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 75 g Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • To turn:
  • Condensed milk
  • Coconut flakes
  • Cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  • We had our big baking day with our club on Sunday. We needed tons of biscuits for our stand at the Christmas market. In addition to snowflakes, lard nuts, marzipan sugar cookies and the Christmas biscuit, the coconut coins were on offer. You can find the last four with a few new pictures in my cookbook.
  • So and now for the coconut nuts Weigh all the ingredients and put them in a bowl to form a smooth dough. Shape it into walnut-sized balls (for me I prefer to make smaller balls, about the size of a hazelnut).
  • Put condensed milk in a dessert plate. Mix coconut flakes approx. 50g with 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar. Moisten the dough balls in the condensed milk and then turn them in the coconut mixture.
  • Spread them wide apart on the baking sheet. Bake at 160 ° C (convection) for about 15-20 minutes. The coconut thalers should be golden brown.
