Meatballs with Plum Sauce
Servings: 4 people
For the meatballs
- 800 g Mixed minced meat
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Roll from the day before
- 1 Fresh onion
- 1 Garlic cloves chopped
- Salt
- Black pepper from the mill
- Thyme
- Cayenne powder
- Breadcrumbs
For the plum sauce
- 200 g Plums
- 30 g Ginger
- 2 Garlic cloves pressed
- 200 ml White wine
- 4 tbsp Sherry
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce dark
- 2 tsp Forest honey liquid
- 0,25 bunch Lemon balm fresh
- Salt
- Sugar
For the plum sauce
Wash, halve and stone the plums. Peel and grate the ginger. Peel and grate 2 cloves of garlic. Heat 200 ml of water and white wine. Add the plums, ginger, garlic and sherry. Let everything boil down. Stir in the soy sauce and forest honey. Wash and dry lemon balm and pluck off the leaves and stir into the sauce. Possibly thicken the sauce a little and season with salt and sugar. Bon Appetit!
