Mulled Wine Muffins
Servings: 12 people
- 75 g Dark couverture or chocolate
- 175 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 packet Finesse, grated orange peel
- 1 pinch Cinammon
- 1 pinch Ground carnations
- 1 pinch Cardamom
- 1 tsp Cocoa powder
- 3 Eggs
- 150 g Flour
- 30 g Food starch
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 100 ml Mulled wine
For painting:
- 100 g Powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp Mulled wine
For the dough, roughly chop the chocolate and melt it in a water bath, then let it cool slightly. Stir butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, spices and cocoa powder until foamy until a thickened mass is formed.
After baking, let the muffins stand in the mold for about 5 minutes, then remove them from the mold and let them cool. For the topping, mix together the icing sugar and mulled wine and brush the muffins with it.
