Lemon Cake

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 200 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 g Butter

For covering:

  • 4 Eggs
  • 120 ml Lemon juice
  • 1 packet Grated lemon peel
  • 280 g Sugar
  • 60 g Flour

For dusting:

  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

For the dough:

  • Mix the flour and baking powder and place in a mixing bowl.
  • Add sugar, vanilla sugar, egg and butter and knead.
  • Roll out the dough in a round shape (24 cm) and prick several times with a fork.
  • Bake at 175 degrees top and bottom heat for about 20 minutes.

For covering:

  • Put the eggs in a bowl.
  • Add lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar and flour and stir.
  • Place the lemon mixture on the pre-baked dough.
  • Bake at 175 degrees top and bottom heat for another 20 minutes.

For dusting:

  • Let the cake get cold and sift icing sugar over it.
