Garlic bread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large baguette(s) or ciabatta
  • 50 g cheese, grated
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 100 g butter, melted, depending on the size of the bread
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped, frozen or fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, chop the parsley very finely. Chop the garlic very finely or press it through a garlic press. Mix the parsley and garlic well with the melted butter. Cut the baguette in half horizontally, open it up, and place it on a large piece of aluminum foil. Spread the butter as evenly as possible over the bread. Then close it again and wrap it in the aluminum foil. Bake the bread in the oven at 190°C (convection oven) for about 10 minutes. The aluminum foil protects the bread from burning, and the garlic can develop its full aroma without becoming bitter. After the first baking time, remove the bread from the oven, open the aluminum foil, and unfold the bread. Finally, spread the cheese on the bread. Place the garlic bread back in the oven until it turns golden brown. This takes about 10 minutes. After baking, simply cut it into small portions, and it’s ready.
