Homemade ginger-mint lemonade

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 lemons
  • 3 limes
  • 1 small piece(s) of ginger root
  • 25 mint leaves
  • 1 sprig of mint
  • 1 rosemary sprig(s)
  • 35 g sugar
  • 850 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 13 minutes; Total time approx. 38 minutes

Wash the limes, lemons, mint, and rosemary thoroughly. Halve the lemons and limes and squeeze out the juice. Pour the juice into a container. Chop the mint leaves and add them to the juice in the container. Halve the rosemary stalks and strip the needles from one half, then finely chop them and add them to the previous ingredients. Peel the ginger and slice the ginger into two. Add the ginger slices to the container. If you want to add sugar to your lemonade, add it and cover the container and refrigerate. Wait for about 10-15 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved. Once the sugar has dissolved, strain the lemonade base and pour the juice into a bottle. Finally, add the water a little at a time. Season to taste from time to time so the lemonade isn’t too mild. Finally, if you like, you can garnish each glass with mint and the other half of the rosemary or add it to the bottle.
