Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g pasta
  • 400 g peas, frozen
  • 1 stalk(s) leek or 1/2 bunch spring onions
  • 200 ml cream
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp mango chutney or apricot jam
  • 1 shot of orange juice, if needed

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Noodles with pseudo-Chinese sauce

Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain through a sieve. Heat the sesame oil in a saucepan, add the peas and leeks, and sauté briefly. Add the cream and soy sauce, and season well with the spices and mango chutney. Simmer until the sauce is creamy. Season with a dash of orange juice, if desired. Mix well with the noodles and serve.
