Chocolate waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 150 g butter, soft
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Fat, for the waffle iron

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it slowly with the cream over low heat. Pour off half of the resulting chocolate sauce and set it aside. Cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Slowly add half of the chocolate sauce and half of the milk, stirring frequently. Grease a waffle iron and bake about 10 waffles from the batter. Serve with the remaining chocolate sauce.
