Mushroom and macaroni gratin

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 2 bunch spring onions
  • 200 g gratin cheese or diced Gouda
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 tsp thyme, dried
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 250 g macaroni
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, clean, chop, and sauté the mushrooms. Clean and chop the spring onions and add them to the pan with the mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Fold in the crème fraîche and half of the cheese. Mix with the cooked pasta and transfer to a baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C on the middle rack for 30 minutes. A cucumber salad with sugar, vinegar, and dill goes perfectly with this.
