Meatballs with peanuts

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g peanuts, salted
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 800 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 2 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 egg(s) for breading

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Finely chop the peanuts. (I use a zigzag grinder for this.) Finely chop the onion. Add 100g of peanuts to the minced meat. Add the egg, paprika, and mustard. Mix everything thoroughly. Sometimes I use 1cm of harissa paste instead of mustard. For the breading, break the egg into a bowl and whisk. Form the mixture into meatballs. Roll the balls in the egg. Then roll in about 150g of chopped or ground peanuts. Turn the balls over and over again to remove any nuts that might fall off. Fry the balls over medium heat. Remove any nuts that fall off. Drain the balls on kitchen paper. Serve the balls cold.
