Styrian cheese fondue with Swiss pine schnapps

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 baguette(s)
  • 250 g cheese (Emmental)
  • 250 g cheese (raclette cheese)
  • 100g Gorgonzola
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 cl schnapps (pine schnapps)
  • 400 ml white wine

In the fondue pot, melt the white wine and finely shredded cheese over medium heat, stirring constantly. Press in a garlic clove, then whisk together the cornstarch and Swiss stone pine schnapps and stir into the fondue. Finally, season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Light the burner at the table with fuel paste and place the pot on top. Serve with the baguette, cut into small pieces. You can also dip the bread pieces first in the Swiss stone pine schnapps and then in the cheese fondue. Serve with a green salad marinated in Swiss stone pine vinegar and pumpkin seed oil.
