Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 ½ dl milk
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 small egg(s)
  • 1 potato(s), cooked (approx. 120 g)
  • 400 g minced meat, mixed
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ cube of gravy, clear
  • ½ dl cream
  • 2 tsp cranberries (from the jar)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Pour milk over the breadcrumbs and let stand for 5 minutes. Finely chop the onion. Whisk the egg. Finely grate the potato and place in a bowl. Add the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, and egg, and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Knead by hand until you have a smooth meatball dough. Form the meatball dough into walnut-sized balls. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the meatballs slowly over low heat for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. Turn them only when they easily release from the bottom of the pan. Remove from the pan and keep warm. Remove the cooking juices with 1.5 dl of water. Break up the sauce cube, add it, and cook thoroughly. Add the cream and cranberries, bring back to a boil, and season the sauce with salt and pepper. Return the meatballs to the pan and serve.
