Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g rice
  • salt water
  • 2 small cans of tangerine(s)
  • 400 g cheese (young Gouda)
  • 20 gherkins, depending on size
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes

Cook the rice in salted water according to the package instructions, drain in a colander, and let cool. Meanwhile, finely dice the Gouda and gherkins. Drain the mandarins and reserve the juice. Cut each mandarin segment into 3 pieces. Mix the rice with the prepared ingredients. Mix the sour cream with a little mandarin juice, season with salt and pepper, and add to the salad. Chill the salad for at least 4 hours, then stir thoroughly and season again with salt and pepper if desired.
