Cheese-basil pesto with spinach pasta

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g mountain cheese or Gruyère, grated
  • 25 basil leaves
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 50 g butter
  • 300 g pasta, spinach pasta or spaghetti, cooked
  • Pepper, black from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta. Finely chop the garlic cloves and basil leaves in a food processor or with an immersion blender. Gradually add the cheese and olive oil and blend until a smooth pesto forms. Add the butter and the still-hot, drained pasta to a hot pasta bowl and toss with the pesto. Season to taste with pepper. Serve with a green salad.
