Oreo Strawberry Cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 175 g butter, room temperature
  • 3 eggs
  • 175 g sugar
  • 175 g flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 175 g butter
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk, possibly more
  • 150 g strawberries for garnishing
  • 20 cookies (Oreo)

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Grease two round baking tins (20 cm diameter) and line the bases with baking paper. Cream the butter and sugar until creamy. Stir in the eggs, flour, and baking powder. Divide the batter evenly between the two baking tins, smooth it out, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool. For the frosting, mix all the ingredients together until spreadable. Spread half of the frosting on one base and arrange Oreo cookies evenly on top. Place the other base on top and spread with the rest of the frosting. Cut the strawberries into thin slices and arrange them on top like roof tiles. For the finishing touch, place an Oreo cookie in the middle.
