Vegetable Stew with Lamb

The perfect vegetable stew with lamb recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the meat broth:

  • 500 g Lamb
  • 1 kl. Onion
  • 1 half Clove of garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • Also:
  • 1 kl. head Cauliflower fresh
  • 1 Kohlrabi with the green
  • 1 packet Soup vegetables
  • 5 size Potatoes
  • 1 branch Freshly cut lovage
  • 1 bunch Parsley
  1. For the broth, put the lamb in plenty of boiling water and add the garlic, onion, pepper and salt. Simmer gently for about an hour, then remove the meat and cut it into small cubes.
  2. While the meat is cooking, cut the vegetables and potatoes into cubes ready for soup, place the kohlrabi green in ice-cold water and set aside. Place the cauliflower florets and the leek slices separately.
  3. Heat the broth to boiling point, add the diced potatoes and vegetables with lovage and let everything simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Only now add the leek slices with the cauliflower and cook for another 10 minutes. Everything cooks to perfection and no vegetables are “overcooked” on the table.
  4. Finally fold in the meat cubes with the chopped kohlrabi green and parsley. Season to taste, season again if necessary and serve.
