Lentil Dish

  • 3 Smoked sausages
  • 100 g Plate lenses
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Small potato
  • 1 el Dried soup greens
  • 50 g Smoked bacon
  • 750 ml Water
  • 1 el Clarified butter
  • 3 el Red wine vinegar
  • Salt

  1. Put the lentils in a saucepan and fill with water. Bring to the boil, then cook for about 25 minutes until almost soft.
  2. Now salt and pepper the lentils and stir in the soup greens. Continue cooking on a low heat.
  3. Grate the peeled potato and mix it with the lentils. Melt the clarified butter in a pan. Finely chop the onion and cut the bacon into small cubes. Fry in the fat, then add to the lentils. Cook everything for another 35 minutes, until the lentils are soft.
  4. Slowly heat the sausages in hot water and at the same time boil the spaetzle. Don’t forget to stir in the vinegar before you eat
