Cooking: Vegetable and Wheat Pan
The perfect cooking: vegetable and wheat pan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 50 g Whole wheat grains
- 150 ml Water
- 150 g Pork strips
- 0,5 Fresh onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 tsp Harissa paste
- 1 tbsp Red oil … RZ in my KB
- 1 Eggplant fresh
- 2 Red pointed peppers
- Olive oil
- Soak wheat grains in water.
- Peel the onion and garlic and cut into small pieces. Place in a container with the meat, harissa and oil, stir and let steep in the refrigerator for a few hours.
- Then peel the eggplant and cut into cubes. (I cut them lengthways into eighths and then cut these pieces into small pieces.) Peel the peppers, remove the seeds and the membranes and cut them into small pieces.
- Heat plenty of olive oil in a pan, add the vegetables and sauté them, then remove them again.
- Now put the meat (with everything) in the pan and fry it.
- Put the wheat and water in a small saucepan and cook until soft. (Best before preparing the vegetables.)
- Then put everything together in the pan and let it cook with the lid on for about 15 minutes at the lowest temperature.
- We had flatbread with it.
