Peter’s Swiss Steak
The perfect peter’s swiss steak recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Discs Form shoulder ham! 3mm thick!
- 2 Discs Toast cheese
- 1 Egg whisked
- Flour
- Breadcrumbs
- Very little salt, pepper, paprika to taste
- 4 piece Toothpick
- Marinated lettuce leaves
- 1 disc Lemon
- 1. Slice of ham possibly slightly seasoning (does not have to be, tastes good without); Place 2 slices of toast cheese on top, leaving a 1-2 cm edge; Place the second slice of ham on top and pin it together with the toothpicks on all 4 sides; Bread with flour, egg and breadcrumbs and bake in hot fat (there is a risk that the cheese will ooze in the deep fryer). Serve with fresh lettuce and a slice of lemon. (In the picture variant with asparagus and tomato).
