Knipp Classic and Deluxe
The perfect knipp classic and deluxe recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 800 g Click
- 1,5 kg Potatoes
- 4 piece Free range eggs
- 1 glass Pickled cucumbers
- 5 piece Red onions
- Salt and pepper from the mill
- Rapeseed oil
Deluxe
- Butter
- Milk
Classic variant
- Peel the potatoes and cook them in a saucepan with salted water. Peel the onions and cut into rings and fry them in a pan with the rapeseed oil until translucent, pour 1 pinch of sugar over them. Cut the cucumber into slices. Take the Knipp out of the packaging and cut it into large pieces and fry them in a pan with a little rapeseed oil. Arrange everything on a plate and add the fried egg. I left out the beetroot, I prefer this in a different form.
Deluxe variant
- Peel the potatoes and cook them in a saucepan with salted water. Peel the onions and cut into rings and fry them in a pan with the rapeseed oil until translucent, pour 1 pinch of sugar over them. Cut the cucumber into slices. Take the Knipp out of the packaging and cut it into large pieces and fry them in a pan with a little rapeseed oil. Now process the potatoes as a puree, i.e. add butter and milk and mash everything finely. Now layer half of the mashed potatoes in a serving ring and fill the other half with Knipp. I oiled the inside of the second serving ring and placed it in the pan, in which I now fry the egg. Place the cucumbers and onions on the plate, place the egg on top of the tower and you’re done.
- 3 This is how you can turn a simple dish into a deluxe eye-catcher even if the ingredients are the same. Have fun :-))
