Instructions: Freeze or store nut corners correctly

Nut corners are a popular pastry, especially at Christmas time. Not only the taste but also the storability of nut corners is convincing.

  • In principle, you can freeze nut wedges, but this is not the best way to store them. The nut corners are much better off in a tin can.
  • Store the tin can in a cool and dry place. Here the nut corners keep for several weeks.
  • If the tin is well closed, the nut corners will only dry out after several weeks. Mold usually does not develop.
  • If you want to store the nut wedges for several weeks or months, you can freeze the pastry. Make sure that the nut corners cool down well before freezing.
  • Then gently defrost the nut corners in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, the nut corners lose some of their taste and consistency when they are thawed.
