Especially when the European Football Championship or World Cup takes place, football fans absolutely need suitable football snacks! And you can easily make these snacks yourself at home. Here we show you four quick and easy snack ideas.
Snacks for football – skewers
For the skewers, you will need turkey or chicken, tomatoes, onions, red and yellow peppers, oil, skewers, salt, and a brush. For a vegetarian version, replace the meat with tofu, for example.
- Wash and dry the meat well. Cut small pieces of meat and salt a little.
- Wash the peppers and cut them into small pieces.
- Peel the onion and also cut it into small pieces.
- Now put everything on the skewers and brush the skewers with oil. Now you can prepare the skewers on the grill or sear them in a pan on the stove.
Football shirts made from pizza dough
These snacks look really great. For this, you need football jersey cutters, ready-made pizza dough, olive oil, corn, tomatoes or tomato paste, a brush, and baking paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough in front of you and cut out lots of small football shirts from the dough.
- Arrange the jerseys on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush with olive oil.
- Now you can use the corn, chopped tomatoes, or tomato paste to create matching patterns on the jerseys.
- Then everything has to go into the preheated oven for 5-10 minutes.
Muffins with soccer decoration
You need: Football decorations from the baking department (for example printed wafers), 250g flour, 150g sugar, 10 tablespoons cocoa powder, half a packet of baking powder, 250ml milk, 100g softened butter, 3 eggs, a hand mixer, a bowl, a muffin tin, and muffin cases.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, milk, butter, and eggs.
- Place the appropriate paper muffin cases in the muffin tin.
- Fill the muffin cases 3/4 full with the chocolate batter.
- Put the muffins in the oven for about 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
- Let the muffins cool down and place the football wafers on top.
Fruit juice ice cream
For this refreshing snack, you will need ice molds, a freezer, orange juice, cherry juice, and black currant juice – the colors of the German flag.
- Fill the ice cream molds one-third full with black currant juice and put everything in the freezer for 2 hours.
- Then fill the ice cream molds up to a further third with cherry juice and put everything back in the freezer for 2 hours.
- Finally, pour orange juice on all ice molds and put everything back in the freezer for 2 hours. And the flag ice cream is ready.
