Baking on Valentine’s Day: Strawberry tiramisu with homemade biscuits
Are you planning the perfect Valentine’s menu, but still lacking an idea for dessert? Then our strawberry tiramisu with homemade biscuits is just right for you. Not only is it super easy to make, but it also tastes heavenly fruity, and fresh.
- All you need for this are around 500 grams of strawberries, 250 grams of mascarpone, 250 grams of quark, 100 grams of homemade biscuits, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, and 100 milliliters of orange juice.
- First, puree about 150 grams of the strawberries with a spoonful of sugar and chill the mixture. In the meantime, mix the mascarpone with the quark and the remaining sugar.
- Cut 250 grams of the remaining strawberries into small cubes and carefully fold them into the quark mixture.
- Next, place the cookies in chunks in a glass as the bottom layer. Sprinkle them with some orange juice so that they soak up easily. As a second layer, add some mascarpone cream and some strawberry puree.
- Repeat this sequence until the glass is almost full.
- Now chill the glasses. Shortly before consumption, you can add the remaining strawberries to the tiramisu as decoration.
Sweetheart pizza
Pizza might sound like a staple of any traditional Friday night – but try the sweet variety and you won’t just be impressed. You are sure to enchant your better half with our delicious chocolate pizza.
- For the Valentine’s Day pizza you need pizza dough, 50 grams of dark chocolate, 50 grams of milk chocolate, 100 grams of Nutella, 25 grams of chopped nuts of your choice, and 50 grams of yogurt.
- Before you start with the art of baking, it is best to preheat the oven to around 220 degrees top/bottom heat. Now roll out the dough and shape it into a heart with your hands.
- First, gently heat the Nutella and the rest of the chocolate. First spread the Nutella on the dough and then pour the remaining melted couverture over it. Of course, you can also spread fruit such as pineapple or strawberries on the pizza.
- Then put the pizza in the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes. Before you serve them warm, decorate them with yogurt or other sweets.
Love Cookies
The heart biscuits are the perfect option for anyone who is not planning an entire dessert, but would simply like to give something a little something special.
- For the dough, you need 250 grams of flour, 125 grams of butter, 80 grams of sugar, and 1 egg. You can use everything from chocolate to icing to decorating the biscuits. In our recipe, we try it with matching red icing. For this, you need 60 grams of powdered sugar, 3 teaspoons of water, and some red food coloring.
- For the cookie dough, knead together the flour, butter, sugar, and egg. You can do this with your hands or in a food processor. Press the finished mass flat and put it in a closed tin in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Now you can roll out the cool dough and cut out hearts. Heart cutters are of course an advantage here, but in an emergency, you can also do this freehand with a knife. Then bake the hearts at around 170 degrees for around 12 to 15 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely before decorating. For the glaze, mix the icing sugar with the water until a viscous mass is formed. Color them with a few drops of red food coloring and spread them over the biscuits. Colorful sprinkles or coconut flakes can make the whole thing look even more appetizing.
