Baked potato slices Patatakia

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes, waxy
  • 6 tbsp oil (peanut oil)
  • 3 tbsp salt, coarse
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp rosemary

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Peel the potatoes and place them in a pot of water. Then dry each potato thoroughly and cut into slices approximately 4 mm thick. Brush the peanut oil into a large, shallow baking dish. Then arrange the potato slices in the dish. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Mix the salt, paprika, and rosemary, and then pour this mixture evenly over the potatoes. Spread everything out well so that all the potatoes get some and the mixture sticks to the potato slices. Now place the dish in the oven and leave it there for a total of 55 minutes. Toss the slices every 12 minutes. If there is too little oil, feel free to add a little more.
