Pasta with spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ small jar capers
  • ½ tube(s) tomato paste
  • ½ pack of pureed tomatoes
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes
  • 1 chili pepper(s), finely chopped (without seeds) or 2, to taste!
  • 2 tsp, heaped basil, dried
  • 2 tsp, heaped oregano, dried
  • Sugar
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • Parmesan, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Heat a pan with olive oil and fry the onions and garlic. Chop the capers and add them. Add the tomato paste, passata, and pizza tomatoes, and simmer for 5 minutes. Now add the herbs and chili peppers. If the sauce is too thick, add half a small coffee cup of water and simmer, covered, for about 10 minutes over low heat. Season thoroughly with salt, pepper, and sugar. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and serve immediately with the sauce. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
