Pasta with red pesto

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 60 g tomatoes, dried and preserved in oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 30 g sesame seeds
  • 1 chili pepper(s), red
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp Parmesan
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Pasta with spicy red pesto

Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions. Roughly chop the tomatoes and add them to a blender. Peel the garlic, chop it roughly, and add it. Split the chili pepper, remove the seeds, and cut into pieces (wear gloves or wash your hands thoroughly afterward; the chili juice burns terribly if it gets into your eyes or mouth). Add it to the blender. Add the remaining ingredients and process everything into a paste, stirring occasionally. Season to taste. Serve the pesto with the pasta; 1 tbsp – 1 1/2 tbsp is enough per plate of spaghetti.
