Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 450 g Chinese cabbage
- 1 tbsp oil (peanut oil)
- 1 tsp ginger, freshly grated
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 red chili pepper(s), in rings
- 1 tbsp rice wine, Chinese (alternatively dry sherry)
- 4 tsp soy sauce, light
- 4 tsp honey, clear
- 120 ml orange juice
- 1 tbsp oil (sesame oil)
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- Orange peel, in fine strips
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cut the Chinese cabbage leaves into very fine strips. Heat peanut oil in a preheated wok. Add the ginger, garlic, and chili to the wok and fry briefly. Add the Chinese cabbage, rice wine (or sherry), soy sauce, honey, and orange juice to the wok. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the cabbage and mix well. Transfer the cabbage stir-fry to warmed bowls, garnish with orange zest, and serve immediately.
