  • 1 package of puff pastry, rectangular, rolled out
  • 2 tomatoes, ripe
  • 1 package of cheese, goat roll or similar goat cheese
  • 4 tsp honey (lavender honey)
  • Herbs of Provence

  • Pepper, from the mill
  • milk or
  • egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

special starter with goat cheese, tomato, puff pastry

Prepare 4 small, ovenproof dishes, e.g. for crème brûlée, and fill each with 2 tomato slices and a slice of goat’s cheese. Top each with the herbs de Provence, salt/pepper, and honey. Finally, cut a lid from puff pastry to fit the dishes and place it on top, pressing it down lightly. For a nice color, brush with a little milk or egg yolk. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 10-15 minutes. Arrange the dishes on small plates and point out that the dishes are hot(!) when serving. When you pierce the crispy puff pastry with a fork, a wonderful aroma fills your nose. Bon appétit!
