Fillet steaks with fruit

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 steak(s) of beef fillet
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 bananas
  • 4 half peaches, from the can
  • 4 slice(s) pineapple, from the can
  • 4 tsp cranberry compote
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 125 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 125 ml meat broth
  • 50 g bacon, streaky

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Rub the steaks with oil and season. Let stand. Meanwhile, foam the butter in a pan, fry the halved bananas, cranberry-stuffed peaches, pineapple, and flaked almonds for 1 minute, then cover and let stand. Finely dice the bacon and fry it in a pan. Brown the steaks in it, season with salt and pepper, and cook over low heat until done. Add to the fruit. Add the meat broth, cream, and soy sauce to the pan, bring to a boil, and thicken with the flour (mixed with a little water beforehand). Season to taste. Arrange the steaks on plates on a layer of sauce, each with half a banana, half a peach, and a slice of pineapple.
