mashed potatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, floury
  • 500 g butter
  • some mace, freshly ground
  • some salt
  • 2 tbsp cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

potato puree

Boil the potatoes in salted water for 20 minutes, drain, and let the steam evaporate, then mash them with the softened butter. Add the cream and season with salt and mace. The amount of butter isn’t a typo, and it’s certainly not for those on a tight schedule, but it’s by far the most delicious mashed potatoes I’ve ever eaten.
