Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beef or pork, shredded
  • 4 small onions
  • 1 small can of tomatoes, peeled, 400 g
  • 3 tbsp curry powder (English style)
  • ½ cube of meat broth
  • ½ liter of water
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 1 gr. can/n lentils with soup vegetables
  • ½ tsp chili (chilli flakes) or sambal oelek
  • 4 bags of rice
  • 4 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Brown the shredded meat with the finely diced onions in olive oil. Then dust everything with curry powder and braise for 2-3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and their juices, stir everything together, and simmer briefly. Add the water and stock cubes, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes over high to medium heat. Meanwhile, warm the lentils in another pot over low to medium heat. Finally, grate the cucumber, mix with the chili flakes, and serve with the shredded meat and lentils over the rice.
