Chicken breast with mustard sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 8 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 4 tbsp honey, liquid
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 3 small shallots
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 100 ml white wine, dry
  • n. B. Salt
  • n. B. Pfeffer
  • n. B. Curry powder (lemon curry powder)
  • e.g. lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Clean the meat, season with salt and pepper. Mix the mustard with honey, maple syrup, and a little lemon curry powder and marinate the chicken breast fillets in it. Let it sit for a while. Meanwhile, peel the shallots, finely dice them, and briefly sauté them in olive oil until translucent. Add the rest of the marinade to the pan, then add the white wine and sour cream and simmer until the desired sauce consistency is reached. Season to taste with salt, pepper, lemon curry powder, and lemon juice. Sear the meat on both sides and serve with the sauce. Rice and carrots go very well with this dish.
