Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g herb butter
  • 200 g double cream cheese
  • 300 g flour
  • Ham
  • Cheese
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 50 minutes

from a dough with 3 ingredients

Make a dough from herb butter, double cream cheese, and flour. Simply place all ingredients in a bowl and knead vigorously until smooth (the dough will be slightly sticky, this is normal). Let the dough rest overnight in a covered bowl. The next day, divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion out into a circle approximately 25 cm in diameter. Cut 12-16 equal-sized “cake slices” from this dough, top each with a small piece of ham and cheese, and roll them up to form croissants. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Continue this process with each portion of dough until all are used. Brush the croissants with egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven and bake two trays at the same time for about 18 minutes. The croissants are super moist and delicious. Tip: As an alternative to the herb butter, you can also use regular butter, but add salt and dried herbs.
