Brussels sprouts from the oven

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • ½ lime(s)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce or alternatively BBQ sauce
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Line a baking tray with baking paper. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. Place the Brussels sprout halves in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and lightly salt the vegetables. Drizzle with the juice of half a lime and toss everything together. Then arrange the Brussels sprouts cut-side down on the baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for approx. 15-20 minutes. Lightly mix everything on the tray and bake for another 15 minutes. Return the Brussels sprouts to the bowl after baking. Mix the Sriracha sauce or BBQ sauce with the honey and pour over the Brussels sprouts. Mix everything lightly and carefully. Arrange the Brussels sprout halves on a large platter or immediately on flat plates and serve.
