Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 bars of chocolate, softened (cooking chocolate)
  • 60 g nuts, grated
  • 125 ml water, hot
  • 125 ml oil
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 cup of black coffee
  • rum
  • 2 cups of cream (500 ml)
  • Powdered sugar, for sweetening
  • eggnog
  • Almond(s) – slivers, roasted, for sprinkling

Whisk the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, and hot water until frothy. Add the oil, nuts, and chocolate. Fold in the flour, baking powder, and beaten egg whites. Bake at 160°C (fan oven) for about 20 to 25 minutes. While still warm, pour over a cup of coffee with a shot of rum. Whip 2 cups of cream until stiff, sweeten slightly, and spread over the cold cake. Pour the egg liqueur into a plastic bag, cut off a small corner, and pour the egg liqueur over the cake in a lattice pattern. Sprinkle with toasted almond flakes, if desired.
