Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 4 sheets of puff pastry (frozen)
  • ½ cup cream
  • 1 broccoli
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 3 pinches of nutmeg
  • rosemary
  • 1 pkt. salmon (smoked salmon), sliced
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Grease a shallow casserole dish (30-40 cm) with oil. Thaw the puff pastry. Meanwhile, cut the broccoli into small florets and pre-cook for 15 minutes. Spread the thawed puff pastry evenly in the greased dish, leaving no gaps. Cut the bell peppers into bite-sized, thin strips. Spread the cooked broccoli evenly on the bottom of the puff pastry and scatter the bell pepper strips over it. Cut the smoked salmon into thin strips and spread them evenly over the casserole. In a mixing bowl, whisk the cream and eggs together, then sprinkle in the seasoning. Grate in the cheese and mix everything well again. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Spread the cheese and egg mixture over the casserole, ensuring everything is well covered. Bake in the oven on the middle rack for about 35 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
